June 12, 2013 2013年6月12日 The China Debate Education Network is excited to announce the second annual Training of Debate Teachers to take place the 12-17 of August. This training will be aimed at teachers who are interested in developing debate programs at their schools and who are willing to commit to working with the China Debate Education Network, hosting tournaments, training, and running tab, in the next year. The sessions at this year’s Training of Teachers will include how to teach debate, how to run debate tournaments, and how to run tabulations at tournaments. Sessions will be offered in both English and Mandarin. 中国辩论教育网络（CDEN）很高兴地宣布，第二届辩论教师培训活动将于8月12-17日举行。本次培训活动面向所有有志于在自己的学校发展学生辩论活动，愿意与中国辩论教育网络一道，在下一年度合作主办辩论赛事、培训活动和参与赛事运行等工作的教师。本次培训活动的主要内容将包括辩论教学、辩论赛事举办与运行等。培训将同时用英语和汉语普通话进行。 We are still in the process of finalizing details of the location of this meeting. As soon as the location is finalized, we will send that information to you. 我们仍在确定具体活动地点的进程中。一旦地点确定，我们将立即发布通知。 CDEN is accepting applications to attend this training. In order to apply you must submit the following form, a letter of interest, and a letter of support from a Dean or higher of your university. We have a capacity of 50 open places for applicants who respond to this call. In addition, we will be inviting other teachers who already have shown strong leadership by their efforts at training, hosting tournaments and training, etc. We will accept applications until July 13, 2013. Except under unusual circumstances, we are unable to accept more than one teacher from each university. Accepted teachers will be notified by July 20. Please send all application materials to Ms Green at tlgreen@willamette.edu.
