we need music to perform our own feeling, like share our happiness with listener, show our umbrage to release the tension...
To one country, its traditional music which can represent the culture and tradition of the country, so people all over the world can point out the country once they hear that. They are improtant to the country because every country want their traditional music become popular all around the world, it reflect the attitude for its traditional culture of the whole country.
But as a individual i don't mind the music type, it is the freedom to choose music to listen, as the reason of people listen music to satisfy themselves.

The music which the pubilc listened  to a lot is just classfied by the   music style without any boudry ,however ,the traditional  music of  a country which has own characterstic  which represents its cultural to a  certain extent .

Why do we need music? Music known as The International Language, then why do we need it? I understand what is traditional music but I just want to know what do u mean by International Music? Is it classical music? Or modern music? Or Pop music? or some other music.

Yes, traditional musics can represent the thoughts of a race, but not specific for any country. Why do I think so? It is because, music just like language, it isn't represent a country but a race, as we know some countries consist of many races just like Malaysia. So, if you are asking about which one is more important, I just cant answer it, because of the different meanings for these two kind of musics. One thing else, you also didn't mention about those musics are important for "who".
